Hojbjerg makes ‘laundry basket’ reference when asked about Missing Conte – Spurs Web
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made a ‘laundry basket’ reference when asked how Tottenham would cope without Antonio Conte tomorrow evening – a reference to Jose Mourinho’s infamous solution to the dressing room ban in 2005 (Sky Sports).
Tottenham Hotspur will need to put everything in order tomorrow night as they face off against Marseille in their final Champions League group stage match.

Spurs had hoped to get the job done before this week, but any team in Group D could still finish as leaders and qualify as a seeded club for the knockouts.
It was a case of VAR tragedy for Spurs last week. At one minute, they seemed to be going ahead as group winners. The next, Harry Kane’s goal was disallowed and Antonio Conte was sent off.
As such, Hojbjerg was asked how Spurs would cope without their leader, with Conte banned from the touchline and dressing room tomorrow night.
He said (Football London): “Firstly of course your head coach is a huge part of the team. Fortunately he has a very good staff and players who are very aware of what he expects from them and we will do our best to fill his role even if it is impossible to fill that void.
“Whether he hides in the laundry basket, I don’t know. I would say no.
“He is a person who lives every game with great passion, with heart. We have to make sure that we are well prepared for what we are doing. We have to deal with him not being on the sidelines.
“For me it’s not a difficult situation, it’s more of a different situation. We know what we need to do and realize our ambitions. Focus pitch and what we need to do.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I’m not sure Conte not being there will have much of an impact. I think either the Spurs boys will rise to the occasion, or they won’t and that’s up to them. I would think about security checking laundry baskets at times like this though.
