Two-day Cricket Camp Concludes | Kanpur News

Kanpur: The two-day JNT under-12 cricket camp concluded here on Saturday. As many as 152 young cricketers selected after three days’ trial attended the camp. Deepak Sharma, CEO of UPCA and Rita Dey, GM, KCA and former women international cricketer addressed the cricketers. Vikas Yadav, Dinesh Kumar and Suhail Raza introduced some finer points of the game.
According to Sanjay Tiwari, vice-president, Kanpur Cricket Association and convener of JNT Sports Welfare Foundation, JNT under-12 league for Kamdhenu trophy will start from May 16. Ten teams have been constituted from among the selected cricketers. Distribution of kit and announcement of the team will take place on Sunday evening at around 4.30 pm, he said.
Inter-School Chess-Kanpur Chess Association, in association with St Thomas School Kidwai Nagar will organize an inter-school chess association championship on May 24.
According to Father Melvin Vision D’Souza, students of UP Board, CBSE and ICSE Boards from class 4 to class 12 may participate in the championship which would be played in 6 groups.
