The wrestling contingent ensured a successful Day 8 for India at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Six of the wrestlers in action on August 5 finished with medals. Bajrang Punia, Deepak Punia and Sakshi Malik clinched gold medals, Anshu Malik clinched the silver medal, while Divya Kakran and Mohit Grewal finished with bronze medals in their respective categories.

August 6th will also be a day to watch out, especially for Indian wrestlers. Six wrestlers including the likes of Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Vinesh Phogat will be in action in Birmingham and will look to finish with medals.

The Indian women’s cricket team and men’s hockey team will look to ensure at least two more silver medals for the country as they both want to seal a place in the semi-final. Manju Bala and Avinash Sable will look to win two more medals in athletics for India, while boxers Nitu, Amith Panghal and Nikhat Zareen would want to progress into the finals of their respective categories.
